With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Peter J. Brodkey of Omaha, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin "Eddie" Brodkey and Rae Brodkey (Carol Fisher Brodkey). He is survived by: his wife Nancy McCormick; his sister Susan Cox; his children, Steven Brodkey (Michael Wanka), Laura Brodkey (Glenn Scott) and Gail Farrell (PJ); his grandchildren, Sydney Scott and Max Scott; his stepchildren, Anne McCormick, Elizabeth McGruder, Karen McCormick, Patricia Haury (Richard) and Daniel Jenkins (Arlene); his stepgrandchildren, Brandon McGruder, Christopher Reed, Duncan Reed, Olivia Reed, Sydeny McGruder, Sam Haury, Jack Haury, Halla Ahovissi and Sena Ahovissi; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Maliya McGruder, Brynnley Reed and Caden Reed.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Temple Israel Cemetery (6500 N 42nd St, Omaha, NE 68107).
