It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kevin James Hawkins of Omaha, Nebraska, who passed away on December 14, 2024, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Kevin James Hawkins to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles T. Hawkins; his brother Bruce Hawkins; and his grandparents, Otis, Almeda Hawkins, Floyd, Nettie Nottleman and Rudolph Ropken.
He is survived by: his children, Amber Wallace (Alex) of West Sacramento, CA, Kevin Hawkins of Herman, NE and Larry Hawkins (Tiffany); his mother Mary Ann Knutson of Ralston, NE; his siblings, Teresa Harper (Rick) of Missouri Valley, IA, Randy Hawkins (Rhoda) of Carter Lake, IA and Dale Hawkins (Jerrian); his sister-in-law Lonnie Hawkins of Weeping Water, NE; his stepmother Bobette Hawkins; his stepsiblings, Aaron Belina (Jen) of Blair, NE, Andre Belina (Angie) and Amy Baack (Matt) of Bennington, NE; and his grandchildren, Silas Wallace, Audrina and Lainey Hawkins. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fort Calhoun Presbyterian Church (123 N 13th St, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023). A prayer was held on Thursday, December 19th 2024 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 11:30 AM to 11:45 AM at the Fort Calhoun Cemetery (1987 Rd P32, Fort Calhoun, NE 68023).
