John Craig Furstenberg Obituary

In loving memory of John Craig Furstenberg of Omaha, Nebraska, who departed this world on August 28, 2024 at the age of 82. John Craig leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Furstenberg and Betty Furstenberg; his former wife Nancy Reasoner; his stepdaughter Katie Hinde; and his grandson Timothy Hinde III.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ellen Schindler; his daughter Erica (Michael Carpino); his grandchildren, Gianna and Angelo; his children, Craig and Jacallyn; his siblings, Scott and Deb Rihn-Harvey; his stepson Bill Schindler (Gina); his stepgrandchildren, Gianna, Joseph and Cecelia; and his stepsons, Brian Schindler and Tim Hinde (Eliana). He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Omaha Home for Boys in memory of John C. Furstenberg.
