He was predeceased by: his father Fred; his grandparent Grandma Richter (Grandpa Richter); his uncles, Jerry and Dan; his in-laws, Bob and Carol Humphrey; and his brothers-in-law, Denny and Jerry.

He is survived by: his wife Patti; his children, Nick (Lindsey) and Tricia Shaw (Adam); his grandchildren, Tatum, Maci, Pyper, Layni, Addy and Mav; his mother Karen Mill (Harry); his sister Suzi Klingemann (Scott); his siblings-in-law, Marilyn Humphrey, Cindy Crossway and Bob Humphrey (Sandy); and his siblings, Paul (Melanie), Lori, Brian (Kristi), Corinna (Vince), Donna (Frank) and Jim (Jodie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 4th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 5th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
