She was predeceased by: her sons, Frederick C. Walden and Timothy L. Walden; and her parents, Penn Thompson and Leonice Thompson (Fisher). She is survived by: her husband Frederick A. Walden; her son Kevin A. Walden (Melody); her daughters-in-law, Cindy Walden, Ruth Walden and Gloria McDaniel (Tom); her grandchildren, Frederick J. Walden, Melinda Walden, Nicole O'Brien (Mike), Jennifer Walden, Erin Fiscus (Gavin), Melissa Walden, Brian Walden (Ashley) and Heather Colton; her brother Byron Thompson (Karen); her niece Denise Petersen (Ken); and her nephew Doug Thompson (Lori). She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, April 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Westlawn Hill Crest Memorial Chapel (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A celebration of life was held on Friday, April 4th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church of Omaha (421 Park Ave, Omaha, NE 68131).
