He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Sommer; his parents, Virginia Sommer and Fred Sommer; his sister Cisily Eberhardt; his children, Gentry and Jacob Sommer; and his pet Max.
He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Henderson (Shane Pruss) and Valerie Olson (Ron); his grandchildren, Ryan Henderson, Shawn, Justin and Hunter Pruss; his siblings, Susan Riedman (Bruce), Patricia Dunn (John), Fred Sommer, Jr. (Tammy) and Robert Sommer; and his brother-in-law Larry Eberhardt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the 72nd Street Chapel (1010 N 72nd St, Omaha, NE 68114). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
