With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gerald Lee Helm (Omaha, Nebraska), who passed away on October 24, 2024 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ervin Helm and Bertha Helm (Schreiner); his parents-in-law, Richard and Louise Alsager; and his siblings-in-law, Rick Alsager and Georgia Alsager.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Helm (Alsager); his son Craig Helm (Lisa); his grandchildren, Anthony, Sam (Madalyn) and Chris (Diamond); his son Scott Helm (Robin); his grandsons, Gavin and Ethan; his son Matt Helm (Dawn); his granddaughters, Alyssa and Tessa; his brother Jim Helm (Vija); his sister-in-law Karrie Alsager (late Rick Alsager); and his cousins, John and Cathy Sanderson. He is also survived by 6 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and many family and friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home (5701 Center St, Omaha, NE 68106). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (1326 S 26th St, Omaha, NE 68105).
