He was predeceased by: his parents, William Adams and Arlene Adams; his grandfather Elmer Briard; his wife Evelyn Sander of John's Catholic Church; his son E. Stephen Adams; his grandson Jesse Penry; his siblings, Phyllis Kowal, Kenneth Adams and Shirley Kemp; and his brother-in-law Dr. Richard DeVries.
He is survived by: his sons, Mark Adams (Reinette), Paul Adams (Vickie) of Crescent, IA, Scott Adams (Kathy) of Glenwood, IA and Gene Adams (Heidi) of Weston, NE; his daughter-in-law Vickie Adams; his daughters, Dr. Ann Adams (Chuck Skoog) of Kansas City, KS and Mary Jo Penry (Monte); his sister Faye Ryan; his sister-in-law Dr Jo Ann Devries; his significant other Siamese; and his pet Wilson. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
