The memory of Duane Orson Herod (Omaha, Nebraska), who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 42, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herod and Carmen Herod (Stephens); his brother John Herod; his nephew Jonathon Weekes; his mothers-in-law, Susan Hellmann and Marlene Hellmann; and his pets, Angel and Jackson.

He is survived by: his wife Amy; his sons, Jayden and Kristian Herod; his pet Bean; his siblings, Troy Herod, Dexter Herod and Claudia Weekes of Texas; his aunt Brenda Herod; his uncle Charles Gray; his father-in-law Myron Hellmann; and his siblings-in-law, Amanda Brittnacher (Joe), Kim Leisner (Blake), Clint Reed (Rebecca), Grant Reed (Kim) and Allen Reed of Wisconsin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family members and close friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked to donate to his two sons, to help with needs that they may have as they transition in this time of sadness.
