She was predeceased by: her parents, Natalie Erickson (Phenis) and Douglas Erickson; her siblings, Nancy and Douglas Jr.; her parents-in-law, Janet and Ed Mead; and her brother-in-law Rolly Church.
She is survived by: her husband Rick Mead; her children, Katie Southard, Michaela Aldredge, Ryan Mead and Turner Mead; her grandchildren, Sadie Southard, Enzo Southard, Nico Aldredge, Camden Aldredge and Kane Mead; her sister Denise Church; her siblings-in-law, Ed, Veronica Mead, Dan, Deb Mead, Rosanne Mead, Tom and Suzanne Mead; and also Allyssa Rademacher. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church (15353 Pacific St, Omaha, NE 68154). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
She went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and after being awarded a Cooper Fellowship through the Lincoln Foundation, earned her MBA as well.
