He was predeceased by: his parents, Boyd S. Groves and Bennie Mae Groves. He is survived by: his spouse Bonnie Mince; his son Rajah Groves of Brooklyn; his siblings, Winston O. Groves, Saranac Lake, Helen Y. Cole (Overland Park), Gwendolyn T. Polson and Juanda K. Lowe (Darryl); and his close friend Lori Reed of Charleston. He is also survived by six nieces, five nephews.
