He was predeceased by: his parents, Esther K. Fosberg and Robert L. Fosberg; his wife Kathryn Sue (Trimble); and his sister Verna Mae Fosberg. He is survived by: his children, Carl Fosberg, Jr. and Kelly Wegner (Terry); his stepchildren, Michael LaPuzza (Lori) and Karen Barajas (Luis); his grandchildren, Khloe Fosberg, Reagan Wegner, Mandi Reynols, Jennifer LaPuzza, Joel Barajas and Taylor Barajas; and his great grandchildren, Cameron, Jayson, Devon Reynolds and Erika Jackson.
