Angela Lynn (Ray) Brooks Obituary

Angela Lynn (Ray) Brooks, age 52, passed away Monday, Jan. 30, 2023, following an illness. Angela was a resident of Newman Grove, NE, where she lived with her husband, Mark Brooks.

Angela is survived by her devoted husband, Mark; her mother Glenda (Freed, Ray) Elliott of North Manchester; her father Richard Ray (Dollie) of Louisville, KY; her brother Mick Ray (Tina) of Claypool; sisters Susan (Ray) Chandler (John) of Fort Wayne, Jackie (Ray) Allison (Scott) of Westfield, IN; Julie (Ray) Dunlap of Westfield, IN; Laura (Ray) Travis of Westfield, IN; and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Karl & Esther Ray of South Whitley, IN, and Glen & Fae Freed of Sidney, IN.

Angela was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 15, 1970, but moved to Sidney, IN as a child. She graduated from Whitko High School in 1989. She married Mark Brooks, of Wolf Lake, IN, on July 4th, 2004 and they moved to Nebraska a few years later. They enjoyed classic cars and traveling together. Angela was a fan of music, TV and movies. Always a dog lover, her chihuahua, Buddy, was her constant companion. Angela was a friend to everyone she met and always enjoyed chatting and socializing with her friends & family.

Angela was born with Spina Bifida and endured many health issues throughout her life, but she was always upbeat, strong willed and determined to enjoy her life to the fullest. She will be missed greatly by those lucky enough to have known her.

A casual celebration of life is scheduled for 2pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Eel River Community Church of the Brethren, 2507 E. State Road 14, Silver Lake, IN 46982. If desired, friends can make memorial contributions to Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis, IN
