He is survived by: his son Steven Carl; his wife Mary Ann of Ogallala; his daughter Susan Jo (John Hardessen) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Andrew Hansmeier (Lisa) of Franktown, Laura Payne (Matt) of Ogallala, Heather Hansmeier of Fort Collins, Mia Hilber-Hansmeier of North Platte, Erica Hardessen of Kearney and Jess Hardessen (Mikala) of Gretna; his great grandchildren, Drue, Asher Barbee and Olivia Hardessen; and his siblings, Gerald Hansmeier of North Platte, Pat Engel of Omaha, Peg Ekart of Imperial and Mary Sue Borowski (Dan) of Grant.
