He was predeceased by: his adoptive parents, Nora Pepper and Clifford Pepper; his parents, Harley Coffman and Mildred Wietzel; his son-in-law Patrick Febry; his half-sisters, Nadene Scott and Katie Nosbisch; his stepson Gary Bates; and his stepgrandson Mark Berger.
He is survived by: his former wife Carol Pepper; his children, Tammy Febry, Ricky Pepper and Dalene Berger (Vincent); his girlfriend Edna Bates; his stepdaughter Susan (Steve); his half-brother James Coffman; his grandchildren, Chris Martin (Deserae), Krista Nord (Tyler), Jason Febry and Lorie Sellers (Steve); and his cousin Judith Kietzman.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to Prairie Hills Funeral Home, 602 N. Spruce St, Ogallala, NE 69153. Donations will benefit a pet rescue in John's name.
