She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Garner and Dorthy Nelson Garner (Evans); her husband Walter Mahnken of Paul's Lutheran Church; and her brother Martin Nelson. She is survived by: her daughters, Dianne Elaine Peterson (Les) of Ogallala, NE. and Sheila Marie Mahnken of Ogallala, NE.; her brother Bill Nelson (Phyllis) of Lincoln, NE; her grandchildren, Leslie Deanne Peterson of Sitka, Robert Alan Peterson (Marta) of Hastings, NE and Joshua Alan Shallow of Iowa; her great grandchildren, Rory Marie Peterson, Blake Le Ann Peterson and Alexis Shallow; and her nieces and nephews, Rebecca Padilla (Dan), Vicki Lierhammer, Greg Nelson (Laura), Eric Nelson (Gina) and Sean Nelson (Ashley).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 27th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Draucker Funeral Home (700 N Spruce St, Ogallala, NE 69153). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church (312 W 3rd St, Ogallala, NE 69153).
