She was predeceased by: her parents, Wayne Velson and Jennie Van Velson (Frerichs); her husband Don; her son Douglas Thompson; and her brother Ed Van Velson.
She is survived by: her son Dave Thompson (Emily) of Paxton; her sister Linda Peters of Ogallala; and her grandchildren, Josh Thompson (Jill) and Sara Spratt (Tom) of North Platte. She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
