He was predeceased by: his parents, Wallace L. "Slim" Sheldon and Marvel M. Sheldon; and his siblings, Sharon Nemcek and Douglas Sheldon. He is survived by: his wife Linda Kay Sheldon; his children, Monica Cherrington (Marlow) and David Sheldon (Nickole); his grandchildren, Shelby, Justin Cherrington, Izabella Sykes (Sheldon), David, Hunter, Carlie and Liam Sheldon; and his great grandchild Laikelynn Elizabeth Sykes. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church (312 W 3rd St, Ogallala, NE 69153). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Ogallala Cemetery (2501 W 5th St, Ogallala, NE 69153).
