With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara Alice Nootz of Ogallala, Nebraska, born in Loomis, Nebraska, who passed away on June 20, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Pinkerton and Grace Pinkerton (Hatting); and her brothers, James, Robert and William Pinkerton.

She is survived by: her husband Lyle Nootz of Ogallala; her daughter Janelle Chakounis (Joseph) of Centennial, CO; and her grandchildren, Alexander and Sofia.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Faith Global Methodist Church Ogallala (faithgmcogallala.com).
