He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Brauch and Henrietta Novotny Brauch; his wife Beverly Sorenson; his siblings, Gale Brauch, Shirley Nickeson (Bill), Sondra DeWitt (Jerry) and Dona Brungardt; his parents-in-law, Roscoe Sorenson and Dorothy Preskorn (Grant); and his siblings-in-law, Frank Jurgens, Delores Adams (Don) and Darlene Doran (Ivan).
He is survived by: his sons, Todd Brauch (Lisa) of Lincoln and Terry Brauch (Shari) of Beatrice; his grandchildren, Jennifer Thompson (Jesse) of Yankton, SD, Tyler Brauch (Courtney) of Beatrice, Matthew Brauch (Jenny) of Lincoln and Justin Brauch (Kelly) of Lincoln; his great grandchild Brighton Brauch; his close friend Shirley Wiens of Beatrice; his sister Beverly Jurgens of Beatrice; and his siblings-in-law, Myrna Brauch of Hebron and Robert Brungardt of Nebraska City. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and other extended family.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Ellis Methodist Church.
