With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Lura B. Johanson (Oakland, Nebraska), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Lura left this world on December 11, 2024 at the age of 90, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ervin B. Pronske and Elsie Marie Pronske (Blanke, family: Bremen); her husband Donald; her sons, Scott and Steve; and her sister Janet Marler.

She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Frederickson (R. Allen Jackson) of Allen, TX; her grandchildren, Tony Johanson (Melanie) of Oakland, NE, Stephanie Meierant (Chris) of Grover, MO, Tyler Frederickson (Jacque) of Lees Summit, MO, Clark Johanson (Lindsey) of Cozad, NE and Lura E. Johanson of Grand Island, NE.; her great grandchildren, Hayden, Emmett Johanson, Landon, Jordan Meierant, Dominic Frederickson, Payton and Emily Johanson; her siblings, LaRue Pronske (Theresa) of Uehling, NE, Carol Ruwe (Dean) of Troy, Ohio and Ronald Pronske (Kay) of Fremont, NE.; and her pet Fred. She is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Evangelical Lutheran Church (201 N Davis Ave, Oakland, NE 68045). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
