He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Grace Thompson (Kamper) of North Platte; his wife Connie Marie Lundvall; his father Walter "Tommy" Thompson; his stepfather Rev. H. B. Schutte; his brother Timothy Thompson; his brother-in-law Robert Butterfield; his children, Christopher W. Thompson (Samantha) of North Platte and Jenny M. Schweitzer (Tim) of Gothenburg; his grandchildren, Michelle Grant-Thompson, Xander Yates, Dominic Thompson, Lorelli Thompson, Tayden, Trey, Kinlee and Brecken Schweitzer; his siblings, Barbara Butterfield of North Platte and Rich Thompson (Mardell) of North Platte; and his sister-in-law Tracy Thompson of North Platte. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
