He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Berges and Opal Berges (Crumm); and his brother Roy Berges. He is survived by: his wife Charlene Newcomb of North Platte; his children, Leslie (Randy), Allen Berges (Jennifer) and Steven Berges (Kim Blunt); his grandchildren, Evan, Ayslyn, Kaya, Misty and Gary Paul; and his great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Grayson, Kevin and Drew.
A memorial has been established to Great Plains Hospice, Great Plains Health, North Platte, Nebraska.
