She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert "Bob" Hastings and Irene Hastings (Derra); her husband Dale Van Boening; her son Stuart; her siblings, Wanda Aldrich (Richard) and Wayne Hastings (Joyce); her sisters-in-law, Rosalie Hastings and Rhonda Kramer; and her niece Connie Tines (Hastings).

She is survived by: her son Steve Van Boening (Betty) of North Platte; her grandchildren, Heidi Hassel and Eric Van Boening; her great grandchildren, Nora, Owen and Sutton; her daughter-in-law Lea Van Boening of Wallace; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ledbetter (Glenn), Joni Kennicutt (Michael) and Sandy Pohl (Quinton); her great grandchildren, Jacob, Joey, Andrew, Emma, Austin, Derik, Brinley, Hudson and Harper May; her brother Gary Hastings; and her brother-in-law Arnold Kramer. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, February 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore (302 S Sycamore St, North Platte, NE 69101). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Wallace United Methodist Church (118 S Wallace Rd, Wallace, NE 69169). A burial will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Morningview Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Wallace Methodist Church or the Wallace Legion Hall.
