With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Boyd Gentry (North Platte, Nebraska), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Gentry and Matie Gentry; and his wife Janice Day of Kearney. He is survived by: his children, Laurie Walrod of Grant, Elaine Mardis (Larry) of Columbus, OH, Dan Gentry (Karen) of Kearney and Stuart Gentry (Casey) of Colorado Springs; his grandchildren, Bryan Gentry (Kerri), Heather Douglas (Mike), Amanda Bellew (Kyle), Lauren Malaya (Chris), Andrea Alderton, Nicole Krotter (Chase), Cameron Gentry and Gavin Gentry; and his great grandchildren, Brandyn, Bella, Madisyn, Peyton, Tripp, Jeyda, Audie, Meela, Abrams and Oscar.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church (2700 W A St, North Platte, NE 69101). The military honors will be held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Fort McPherson National Cemetery (12004 S Spur 56a, Maxwell, NE 69151).
