He is survived by: his son Tony Kotik (Roxanne); his siblings, Joe Jr. Kotik (Mary), Anna McKlem, Mary Gable (Jim), Jerry Kotik (Jane), Cleola Sampson, John Kotik (Bev) and Nola Mork; his brother-in-law Carl Friedrich; and his grandchildren, Anneka, Nolan and Lilly. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
