He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Bland and Lucille Bland of Battle Creek, Nebraska.; his parents-in-law, Karl and Viola Goetsch; his siblings-in-law, Arland Gross, Ralph Goetsch, Ardyce Goetsch and Marlene Goetsch; his nephew Bruce Goetsch; and his niece Brenda Goetsch.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Bland of Norfolk; his children, Michelle, Monica, Marty and Matt Bland; his sister Nancy Gross; and his siblings-in-law, Lynette Pofahl, Karen Goetsch, Alice Goetsch, Louis Pofahl, Eugene Goetsch and Leland Goetsch. He is also survived by nine nephews; and two nieces.
