He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Acklie and Velma Acklie of Norfolk; his children, Scotty and Janelle; his parents-in-law, Lyle and Leona Wade; his brother Doug Acklie; his son-in-law Ronald Gobel; his brothers-in-law, Bill Ziemer and Terry Thies; and his nephew Jeff Harris.
He is survived by: his sons, David (Debbie) of Norfolk and Timothy (Jennifer); his wife Belva Wade of Winside; his daughter Diane Gobel of Crofton; his grandchildren, Dalton (Kaylie), Brook, Calissa, Tristan and Elliana; his great grandchildren, Karsen and Kayden; his siblings, Allen (Lee) of Florence, SC, Pam of Norfolk and Gail Johnson of Norfolk; and his pet Tinkerbell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to those of family choice.
