He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald "Mick" Chaney and Yvonne Chaney (Tielke); his nephew David Peterson; and his close friend Cheryl Morris. He is survived by: his siblings, Doug Chaney (Tish) of O'Neill, Debra Rhodes (Tom) of Grand Island and Micki Richter (Bradd) of Doniphan; and his nieces and nephews, Brian Chaney, Casey, Cory, Colby Richter, Amy Gokie and Kalee Battey.
