With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Ann Novotny of Norfolk, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Storek and Mary Storek (Brosh); her husband Donald Novotny; and her sister Helen Finkral. She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Plugge (David) of Norfolk and Donna Canfield of Las Vegas, NV; her grandchildren, Mishelle Fields (Jeff) of Lincoln, NE, Kelly Smith (Brett) of Lakeville, MN, Brad Lyon (Didi) of Norfolk and John Lyon (Jen) of Highland Ranch, CO; and her stepgrandchildren, Amy Stoll (Norm) of Cedar Falls, IA, Jody Peterson (Mike) of Yutan, NE and Brian Canfield (Elena) of Magnolia, MN. She is also survived by 24 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity United Methodist Church (506 S Main St, Madison, NE 68748). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to Iowa Valley Cemetery in Madison County.
