He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo V. Moschenross and Rose Moschenross (Geier); and his great grandchild Bently Moschenross. He is survived by: his son Dan Moschenross of San Antonio, TX; his wife Elaine Moes; his grandchildren, Meshya, Brayton and Preston; his daughter Nancy Swanson of Springfield, NE; his grandchildren, Jesse Bergstrom, Torey, Cole and Coby Swanson; his sisters, Margaret Moschenross of Denver, CO and Rose Marie Wilds of Omaha, NE; his in-laws, Ann Marie Thies (Don), Don Moes, Florance Glenn (Jim), Cathy Moes and LaVon Moes; and also Cheyenne. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Home For Funerals Chapel (708 Georgia Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701). A vigil service was held on Thursday, March 13th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, March 14th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church - Norfolk (2300 Madison Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701).

“Blessings to the family of Leo. We are forever grateful for experiencing Leo in our lives. Although I didn't see Leo too much in the last 5-10 years, he was in Lincoln supporting our children as they won State Basketball and Volleyball championships. Always the thoughtful and kind man, it wasn't until yesterday I learned he was also very humble - as I stumbled upon his Spirit Of Volunteerism award provided by the City of Norfolk United Way in 2018!
