He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Strate and Edith Strate (Eckert); his siblings, Eldon, Donnie and Joann Minihan; and his parents-in-law, James (Mac) and Emily McCarville.
He is survived by: his wife Debb; his sons, Patrik of Denver, CO and Robert of Grand Rapids, MI; his granddaughters, Autumn of Norfolk and Leona of Grand Rapids; and his sister Jean Armaganian of Neenah. He is also survived by nine brothers in-law and nine sisters in-law, as well as many nieces and nephews.
