She was predeceased by: her parents, Vernon Hausmann and Irene Hausmann (Kurpgeweit); her husband Jim Mewis; her parents-in-law, Thurston Mewis and Dolores Willers; her siblings, Shelley Hausmann and Dennis Hausmann; her stepgrandson Wade Wendt; and her brother-in-law Vern Reese.

She is survived by: her children, Kandee Wendt (Gary) and Jesse Mewis; her grandchildren, Hunter, Hailey Mewis, Korbee and Karly Wendt; her stepgrandchildren, Kym Wendt and Krys Magsamen (Jesse); her siblings, Sharlyn Grashorn (Eldon), Pam Anderson (Bob), Gregg Hausmann and Steve Hausmann; and her siblings-in-law, Keith Mewis (Irene) and Jan Reese.
