He was predeceased by: his parents, Odetta Burkink and Lee Sr. Burkink; and his siblings, Lee Jr. and Bertie Modelski. He is survived by: his sister JoAnn Dahl of Fremont; his children, Jay (Denise) of Texas, Doug (Beata) of Norfolk and Beth Dawson (John) of Bellevue, NE; and his grandchildren, Paige Bowen, Drew Burkink of Texas, Chelsea Burkink of Omaha, Myles Burkink of Norfolk, Carter Dawson and Dillon Dawson of Bellevue, NE.
