He was predeceased by: his parents, William "Bill" Long and Emma Long (Dünger); and his siblings, William "Bill" Long, Jr., Delores Nelson, Eleanor Peters, Phyllis Stoecker and Lois Mick.
He is survived by: his wife Velda Claussen; his daughters, Tammy Stephenson and Pam Lieb (Vince); his grandchildren, Paige Chace (Travis), Jayde Bomar, Lance Stephenson and Josh Stephenson (Praise); and his sister Lee Petersen. He is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
