James Halferty Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Halferty (Norfolk, Nebraska), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 30, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Halferty and Florence Halferty (Gilliland); and his brothers-in-law, Mike Osborn and Dave Stuhr. He is survived by: his wife Elaine; his children, Mike Halferty (Barb) and Laura Podnar (Bob); his grandchildren, Samantha, Evan, Abigail Halferty, Cassandra, Emily and Allison Podnar; his siblings, Pat Halferty (Sandy), Judy Osborn, Linda Fenley (Keith) and Betty Rempster; and his siblings-in-law, Rich Colgan (Dianna) and Mary Stuhr (Don Jacobson). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
