He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest and Helen Volkmer Sr. (Harwig); and his wife Alice Nemecek. He is survived by: his sons, Jordan Volkmer of Loveland, CO and Patrick Volkmer of Norfolk; and his brothers, Mark (Kathy Volkmer), Frank (Julie Volkmer) and William (Carolyn Volkmer).
