He was predeceased by: his parents, Helmer Pufahl and Rosella Pufahl (Bauermeister); his grandparents, August, Minnie Pufahl, William and Anna Bauermeister; his son Darrel Lee Pufahl; his grandson Dawson Alden Plisek; and his sister-in-law Dora Foster (Bob).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Mae Garbers; his children, Karen Nielsen (Mitch) of Madison, Daniel Pufahl (Karen) of Stanton and Kathy Plisek (Ryan) of Norfolk; and his sister Marilyn Joe (Lloyd) of Lincoln. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, Delmer requested donations be given to the St. Paul's Lutheran School building fund.
