It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darla Rae Bauer of Norfolk, Nebraska, born in Custer, South Dakota, who passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Herron and Lucile Herron (Schroeder); her sister Diana Kay Lahr; her children-in-law, Paul Sobansky and Turena Bauer (Mock); and her parents-in-law, Carl and Lula Bauer (Johnson).

She is survived by: her husband Alvin Bauer of Norfolk; her children, Stuart Bauer, Sr. (Beth) of Norfolk, Lucinda "Cindy" Bauer of Norfolk, Robin Bauer Sobansky of Weatherford and Jeffrey "Jeff" Bauer (Janet Johnson) of Norfolk; and her brother Ken Herron (Jan) of Madisonville, Texas.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
