It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Arleen Pojar Black of Norfolk, Nebraska, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Koepke and Louise Koepke (Nurnberg); her former husband Leonard Joseph Pojar; and her brother Leroy Koepke. She is survived by: her husband Robert Black; and her children, Shirley Lind of Norfolk, Linda Matthies (Steve) of Stanton, Carol Eddy (Kelly) of Pierce, Nancy Korth (Brian) of Randolph, Roger Pojar, Sr. (Brandi) and Martha Books (Richard) of Columbus. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and four nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Home For Funerals Chapel (708 Georgia Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Our Savior Lutheran Church (2420 W Omaha Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
