He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Dean Moon (Rodney) and Margaret Mae Moon (Johnson); his wife Dorothy; his grandsons, Schuyler Dickau and Joseph Ulrich; and his sister Alda Ellis.
He is survived by: his pet Museum; his brothers-in-law, Kenny and Joe; his children, Deanna Dickau (Quincy) of Atkinson, Danny (Tammi) of Randolph, Rodney (Julie) of Yankton, SD, Rebecca Stamp (Jerry) of Inman and Kathi Foltz (CJ) of Norfolk; his grandchildren, Christopher Salmon, Alisha Salmon, Caleb, Jacob, Preston Dickau, Justin Moon, Brandon, Bridget, Cole, Adam Moon, Lane Ebsen, Justyce, Gage and Dakota Foltz; and his sister-in-law Dorothy Carr (Slaymaker) of Atkinson. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
When his Parkinson's took over, he could no longer paint or play guitar.
