He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy "Ted" and Alma Bennett (Rohrer); and his siblings, Ted Bennett, Lois Smutney, Arnie Bennett and Larry Bennett.
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Strube; his stepchildren, Sherry Ellis, Kevin Strube, Robin Flaugh (Lynn) and Alesa Melcher; his grandchildren, Aaron (Louise), Adam Flaugh (Elizabeth), Levi, Averi, Keegan, Riley Melcher and Michael Ellis; and his siblings, Rolley Bennett, Edith Finkral and Mary Roberg. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In consideration of the COVID-19 restrictions currently in place, there will be a graveside service at 2:30 p. m. on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Madison, NE with Pastor Todd Kollbaum officiating.
