It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Allen Nelson of Newman Grove, Nebraska, who passed away on June 3, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Gwendolyn Arlene Nelson (Johnson); his son Cory Allen (Beth) of Newman Grove; his grandchildren, Ross Allen and Kelli Dee; his wife DeAnn K. Hallgren; his children, Ross (Amy) of Newman Grove and Kelli (Wes) of Kearney; his grandchildren, Brooke Vincent (Ben) of Marquette, Megan Guenther (Jonathan) of Lincoln, Drew Samuelson of Kearney, Payton, Paige, Mason, Riley Nelson of Newman Grove, Aiden, Alyse and Ethan Molczyk of Kearney; his great grandchildren, Luxley and River Vincent; his brothers, Ralph and Dwayne Nelson; his parent Eudell Nelson; his siblings-in-law, Glenn and Kathleen "Katie" Hallgren; and his granddaughter Alyshia Samuelson (Nelson). He was also cherished by many other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.
