He was predeceased by: his parents, William and Verna; his wife Lenore Katherine Becker; his former wife Gerry Peterson; and his siblings, Betty Jo Pittam, Wilma Maxine McCutchan and John.
He is survived by: his brother William L. Eckles Jr.; his sister-in-law Elizabeth Eckles; his son Dick (Carol); his grandchildren, Sarah Van Horn (Ben), Julia Merrill (James), Daniel Eckles (Stephanie), Emma, Haley Merrill, Greyson, Lisette Van Horn, Madeline and Avaline Eckles; and his stepchildren, Rhonda Brubacher (Gordon), Lorrell Peterson (Maggie), Sondra Peterson (Chelle) and Ruth Peterson (Randy).
