He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Hurt and Agnes Hurt (Houdek); his brother Louis Hurt, Jr.; and his brother-in-law Fred Hromas. He is survived by: his wife Jo Ann Pelan of Superior; his children, De Ann Sunday (Martin) of Windsor, California, Jeff Hurt (Tina) of Windsor, California, Kevin Hurt (Theresa) of Juniata, Nebraska, Mark Hurt (Eva) of Lincoln and Gary Hurt (Elma) of Frisco, Texas; his grandchildren, Corey Sunday, Paige Gooler (Tim), Jordan Hurt, Megan Fogle (Hunter), Rachel Hurt, Austin Hurt, Kyle Hurt and Logan Schnitker (Kady); his great grandchildren, Jacobi, Jaden Schnitker and Grayson Gooler; and his siblings, Georgia Hromas of Omaha and John Hurt (Ann) of Sidney, Nebraska.
Rosary services will be held at 10:00 am before the Mass Clergy: Rev. John Birkel Burial with military honors held at 3:30 pm: Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Dwight, Nebraska Memorials to: in care of the family to be designated later.
