She was predeceased by: her parents, Chris Mertens and Lena Mertens (Menke); her husband Willard Karmazin; her brothers, Eugene and Ray Mertens; her son-in-law David Livingston; and her siblings-in-law, Naomi Mertens, Mildred Svoboda, Elsie Karmazin, Loretta Zigafoos, Eugene Karmazin, Alan Zigafoos and Ben Svoboda.
She is survived by: her children, Dan Karmazin (Kathy) of Norfolk, Nebraska, Carol Fraas (Stan) of Waverly, Nebraska, Joyce Mitchell (Greg) of Hastings, Nebraska, Laura Karmazin of Nelson, Nebraska, Mary Hansen (Raymond) of Gillette, Wyoming, Pam Livingston of Waverly, Nebraska and Bruce Karmazin (Steve Neely) of St. Louis, Missouri; her grandchildren, Michelle Karmazin, Corey Karmazin (Molly), Tara Carlson (Tim), Stephen Karmazin (Amy), Matt Fraas (Allison), Jessica Stilwagon (Brian), Scott Karmazin, Shauna Carpenter (Tim), Eric Hansen Karma (Mike Hill), Kolcun and Karissa Livingston; her sister Marian Souchek of Lawrence, Nebraska; and her parents-in-law, Robert Karmazin of Hastings, Nebraska, Geraldine Karmazin of Superior, JoAnn Schneider of Hastings, Joanne Mertens of Hastings, Nebraska and Betty Mertens of Sutton, Nebraska. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
