He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Bierman and Alda Bierman (Wehrer); his former wife Evelyn Tarpeng; his wife Ruth E. Tegeler; his stepson-in-law Steve Jessen; his grandson Kent Tegeler; and his aunts and uncles, Jesse Wehrer (Louise), Paul Bierman (Myrtice) and Myrtice Bierman (Paul).
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Carol Jessen (Steve) and Tom (Judy Tegeler); and his cousins, Ken Bierman, Wayne Wehrer, Jeanie Emry, Art Bierman, Gerald, Gene, Louis Bierman and Helen Wehrer. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
