She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Carl Spencer and Leota Spencer (Kirk); her children, Rhonda (Lee Meyer) of Neligh, NE, Dean (Jenny Smith), Terry (Trish Smith), Mark (Julie Smith) and Craig (Melissa Smith); her husband Eugene Smith; and her siblings, Dale, Lyle Spencer and Barbara Spencer. She was also cherished by 15 grandchildren and 31 great grandchildren.
In Lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to 1st Congregational Church of Christ.
