He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Cunningham and Sylvia Cunningham (Caulfield). He is survived by: his children, Kim Bilstein (Ron) of Battle Creek, Michele Guthrie (Bob) of Norfolk, Joey Porter of Norfolk, Brandon Cunningham (Holly) of Norfolk and Desireé Wilkinson (Jason) of Neligh; and his sisters, Barbara Walnofer (James) of Orchard and Pat Harmon (Dick) of Lincoln. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren.
