He was predeceased by: his sisters, Josphine Meis (Bill), Marie Meis (Sam), Lorraine Logas (Tom) and Evelyn McCarty (Dan). He is survived by: his brothers, John Van Ert (Michele) and Henry Van Ert (Anita); his brothers-in-law, Bill Meis and Dan McCarty; his children, Teresa Schade (Chet) of Neligh, Charles Van Ert (Joan) of Petersburg, Anita Donason (Charley) of Neligh, Stephanie Graber (Curt) of Fort Wayne, IN, Audrey Meier (John) of Pierce, NE and Jamie Van Ert of Norfolk, NE.; his grandchildren, Brent, Nicole, Alyssa, Greg, Wes, Lisa, Sarah, Adam, Ashley, Abby, Nate, Austin and Brandon; his children, Kevin and Tamara; and his grandson Jordan.
